Meryl Streep Miranda Priestly wouldn’t approve well actually, she’d probably give us her emotionless un-approving line: “Florals?! For spring?! Groundbreaking!” Needless to say, we don’t think we need to spend much time telling you about why we love florals for spring but rather show you why every single Spring florals should make a comeback and why everyone should get on board whether it be with shoes, pants, tops, jackets, blazers, and the list goes on…
So given the Devil Wears Prada isn’t real life and because were not running a high profile fashion magazine, we are doing a post about florals anyways and are going to give you a glimpse of our favourite pieces and how we are paring them.
Starting with these black floral joggers. A perfect pant to transition seasons with with the base colour being black and the florals being subtle shades of pink. Drawing from the pink we decided to pair these with a lighter pink suede heel. This makes it so that you can both work and play in this outfit. The black Chanel bag brings this somewhat contemporary look back to having a more classic feel.
Moving more from Spring to Summer is this floral jumper paired with Chanel espadrilles. A perfect patio lunching outfit, wine touring outfit, backyard BBQ outfit… Do we need to continue? Basically its just the perfect wear-anywhere outfit for a warm day.
This cute shift dress can easily be paired with patent black heels for a dressy look or try it with our coveted Stan Smiths for a fun causal weekend day look. The pink purse tops it off to bring out the Spring feel.
Sometimes the easiest way to wear floral is to walk all over them….or in them. We love our floral heels, shown here with pink pants but we also wear them with our jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses (so any bottoms!) all Spring and Summer long.
The floral skirt above is paired with a light tank top and black clutch. Sometimes you’ll see us rocking this skirt with a white t-shirt and runners or a casual tank top and flip flops. We love wearing this skirt all season long!
Bold…bright…enter the floral-esque jacket. In all it’s stunning glory, this loose and drapy jacket really sparks the season and pairs with solid colours for a Spring feel.
So enough about how we are pairing our florals, we want to see what you guys are doing!
