Sweatpants and heels?! OMG, how do you feel? Yah, we didn’t know how to feel either. We saw it and didn’t know how we felt about it or what we wanted to do about it. We were confused and we were inspired at the same time. So, when in doubt, try it out! We mean, what’s the worst that could happen? You hate it and end up changing a million more times like we do most days of the week anyways, no big deal, right?
So, we did the leg work for you and tried it out. Here’s what we learned…
First, joggers are the best sweatpants to try this out with. While still semi-looking like sweatpants they have a bit more of a “put together” feel than classic sweatpants might. Necessary to pair them with heels. Below, we paired our navy Vince joggers and this beige shirt from Aritzia with beige peep toe suede booties. What we learned was that the heels are the statement, so we kept our shirt neutral, jewelry minimal and threw on some amazing sunglasses to top it off. We wanted the statement of the booties to speak the loudest, and let the rest just flow.
The end result; we were surprised how cute this looked and how much we loved this look! We would totally rock these joggers with this neutral top again in the future. It’s a cute way to head out for brunch or for coffee!

In this outfit we took a pair of mens size small distressed joggers from Zara and paired them with a plain white t-shirt from Aritzia (btw they are our fave white tee’s!). We took the distressed look of the pants and echoed it in the cut outs in our shoes by pairing this outfit with these blue Steve Madden heels. Again, we learned that between the cut outs on the shoes and the distressed rips on the sweatpants, the shirt had to be as plain as possible.
We like these joggers with these heels and would probably wear them for coffee, but there is that fear with the mens size joggers that it could lend itself to a bit of a “walk of shame” look. As a result of that, get up and do your hair and make up before heading out on the town in this statement outfit!
In the future, we will continue to rock this sweatpants and heels look… we’d probably even try this look with a more slim cut jogger or something in a more feminine colour – pale pink anyone?!
