Sometimes you just feel like being a bit of a bad ass, right? Like, how do you take an otherwise feminine outfit and make it less girlie? Add some edge to it? We love that task! As we love the good girl x bad girl looks. To us, there’s nothing better than taking florals and adding skulls or taking pink and adding studs! We like the contrast, we like the challenge and we like the results! Here’s how we did it recently…
Sam bought this beautiful black sequin/lace shirt at Zara. It is so stunning…even more in person than below in the photos. So, what do you do with a feminine and sheer lace black top that has some sequins on it? Pair it with heavy and black moto pants that have zippers. It gives it a harder edge and feel that we enjoy. Channel your inner RiRi…she’s there…
We love how the lace and sequin detail of the sheer top just hangs where it meets the moto zippered look of the pants. Good girl x bad girl: nailed it!
Sam’s silhouette is gorgeous with this top – a total stunner!!
Next we’ve got Michelle in contrast with a gorgeous white sequin dress. We wanted to take a minute to showcase it against a white wall so there are no distractions… You’ll see what we mean in the next photo.
It is sheer in spots with a silver and white sequin front and a solid white back. It is fun, shimmery and definitely girlie. So, as we usually do, we added a bottle of one of our favourite champagnes as well as some studded Louboutins…. now you may or may not have noticed the distractions we were referring to: the gents canoeing… They were envious of our night… they also had to wonder how we were able to walk on those rocks in these shoes. Women are so capable! HA!
Anyways, enough about the canoeing crew and back to the shoes… The silver studs on the shoes compliment the silver sequins in the dress and take it from being a day time dress to a night time show stopper! Good girl x bad girl, checked in and ready to rock it.
Seriously ladies, everyone needs to run out and grab this dress. It gets so many compliments!
So, we’ve learned good girls are also bad girls and vice versa. But most importantly, we’ve learned that you can rock these bad ass/innocent looks simultaneously and it looks damn good.
