You guys, Vancouver has so many little restaurant gems that we want to share with you. So, we are really just going to get straight down to business. This weeks edition is ITALIANO. OBVIOUSLY. We’re pretty sure every weeks edition will be Italian. But we will just pretend that’s not the case right now and go with the flow. We might as well jump into our fave Vancouver Restaurants that are off the beaten track because we have a lot to say in between bites.
Firstly, one of our favourite little hidden gems, Pronto, located just off of 18th on Cambie St. Angela, the owner has done a wonderful job in making it seem like you’re just walking into Noni’s house for dinner. The servers are amazing, so sweet and all on top of their game, the chef is AMAZING, and is running solo in the kitchen but somehow knocks it out of the park every time, and the atmosphere is very casual, relaxed and laid back. Our scene?! All day long my friends, all day (night) long. You like bolognese? Us too. Order it, we promise you won’t be upset. They also have nightly specials, which never disappoint.
A special: Braised Beef, Tomato and Olive Ragu (with a little bit of cheese!)
Next up, and you’ve heard us talk about it all the time, Nook. Our latest obsession with Nook, the fact they also serve brunch. Whose winning in this scenario?! Us, always. Oh, and at brunch, they still serve burrata. So, seriously, whose winning? OH YES, friends, it’s us. We promise, brunch, lunch, or dinner, you won’t be disappointed. With two locations, we tend to frequent the Kits location, but promise, both are amazing. Guess what else, their bolognese is also to die for so if it’s a lunch or dinner adventure, ORDER IT!
Nook Brunch – Frittata of the Day
Finally, another Italian fave, Giovane Cafe in the Fairmont Pacific Rim. We’ll be totally honest, we love all things Fairmont and definitely all things Pacific Rim. Why would this amazing cafe be any different?! Especially when their sandwiches, pizza, and pasta are TO DIE FOR. They are so delicious, they have really nailed it when it comes to a high-end cafe. It’s our favourite lunch time hang out. Once super important thing we forgot to mention; all of these places have gluten free options! Obese yet?! We are close but keep looking forward to our next meal!

Anything we’ve missed?! We want to hear some of your faves!
