Happy Weekend Everyone! So, we totally dropped the ball on creating a post for our Mother’s Day Gift Guides (sorry Mom!) but we still had quite the suggestion list on Instagram (do you follow us on Instagram? If you just answered no, you totally should! You can find us here). Anyways, to make up for it, we’ve got our Father’s Day Gift Guide ready to go. A week ahead of Father’s Day which gives you plenty of time to make these gifts happen!
Is Dad a beer drinker? Don’t worry we’re not suggesting a six pack… How about a craft beer of the month club subscription? These guys are based out of Calgary, they hand pick each beer to arrive at Dad’s door monthly… if he likes it, he can purchase it from them at a discounted rate! As those beer of the month clubs can get quite pricey we also think a fun growler, like this one, and a gift card to his favourite brewery might be in store. Our fave is Steal and Oak in New Westminster. They’ve got a great selection and such friendly staff.
Okay, so if you’re reading this thinking “Dad’s not a beer drinker this isn’t helping!” we’ve got more suggestions… and yes, we’ve got a few father’s day gift guide ideas that go past wine but for now, we’re sticking to old faithfuls. If your Dad is anything like our Dads, they’ve got a mighty fine wine collection. They just often have great concerns as to whether or not that wine they’ve been waiting for 10 years to drink is ready… SOLUTION: the Coravin Wine System. This genius invention allows you to try your wine without opening the bottle. The thin delicate needle goes through the cork and is able to extract as much or as little wine as you want! That being said, it’s also great if Dad wants just one little glass of that expensive wine but doesn’t want to open an entire bottle.
Next, we’ve got socks! Who doesn’t love a fresh pair of socks!? Even better, who doesn’t love a fresh pair of socks every month?! Clearly we are all about the “of the month clubs”, but this one is too good not to share: Foot Cardigan. You can choose for how long you get the socks delivered whether it be 3 months, 6 months or a year. It’s a gift that suddenly allows fathers day to be every month! Alternatively, there’s always happy socks… We know, they are SO fun!
Finally, if your father is more about family time than anything else, why not have the whole family over for a nice BBQ, or for a nice dinner. We’ve got your grocery list and your menu below. A few tips: be prepared ahead of time (have your marinade done, anything you can cook or prep done, etc.) and you will also be able to enjoy the night.
We hope our Father’s Day gift guide has helped you guys out! If anyone has anymore suggestions feel free to comment below and we’ll incorporate them next year!
